Mobile Family Housing Unit
Helping the families we serve in a progressive way.
COVID changed a great many things. For us, here at Family Promise of Genesee County, it was the suspension of our rotational emergency shelter.
Through a grant from the Genesee County Planning Commission, we will again host families, albeit in a unique way.
FPGC Mobile has wifi, a place for us to host Basic Needs supplies for local giveaway events. A small area for Case Management, and with mobile technology, we can even host small life-skill training sessions.
This unit will still rotate to partner host sites, and families will stay here instead of sleeping in the church.
It is large enough to house a family of six for emergency shelter or for quarantine (should the need arise).
